Over several decades, Wayne has traced his own family back through eleven generations, to the early 1600’s, with family branches traced in many parts of Canada, Britain and teh United States. He has also assisted many others find their ancestors and develop their own families trees.

He has been a volunteer in the Online Parish Clerk scheme in Devon, England since 2003, under which he administers four parishes: Cornwood, Harford, Plympton St. Mary and Plympton St. Maurice. He is actively involved in collecting and transcribing old parish records and other material relevant to the history of those areas.

Wayne has experience with records in many parts of England and Scotland and has also researched individuals in Canada and the United States.  He maintains memberships in several family history societies and is in contact with many other professional genealogists specializing in British family history. 

Wayne is Editor of Chinook, the quarterly journal of the Alberta Family Histories Society.  He continues to upgrade his skills and experience through participation in professionally-run courses, mainly related to British records.  He has also published several papers in various genealogical society journals dealing with general topics as well as his own family research.

In all of his genealogical studies, he upholds a high level of professionalism and compiles and records all information under appropriate guidelines and standards as set out by professional genealogical associations.
